I'm a senior in high school who has been playing music since I was 9. Since then, I have played classical piano, jazz piano, jazz clarinet, and jazz trumpet, as well as composed for classical groups, jazz groups, and jazz big band.

Essentially Ellington Composition Contest

I was recently selected as the winner of the 2024 Dr. J. Douglas White Essentially Ellington Student Composition/Arranging Contest, including a cash prize, a lesson with the renowned Ted Nash, a recording session in which the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, and a performance of my composition by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra 2024 Essentially Ellington Competition and Festival.
