Ori Moore is a multi-genre pianist, keyboardist, composer, and arranger driven by the roots music of his home state of North Carolina, including jazz, blues, country, and bluegrass. He currently studies jazz at the University of Texas at Austin's Butler School of Music.

In 2025, the University of Texas Jazz Ensemble performed Ori Moore's big band arrangement of Elizabeth Cotten's "Freight Train".
Essentially Ellington Composition Contest
In 2024, Ori Moore was selected as the winner of the Dr. J. Douglas White Essentially Ellington Student Composition/Arranging Contest, including a cash prize, a lesson with the renowned Ted Nash, a recording session in which the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, and a performance of his composition by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra 2024 Essentially Ellington Competition and Festival.
